Need 'maxwidth' and 'maxheight' attributes

Posted by lilgrasshoppa on (2007-03-25)
Slideshow is great. The problem I have is that it resizes images in a fashion that they are cropped if their dimensions are different to the dimensions you have the slideshow klip set to.

To get around this you should set a 'maxwidth' and 'maxheight' when it resizes images: so that it will keep the dimensions of the original, and not crop the images.

Muliple folders

Posted by unicorn64 on (2007-04-15)
Needs to be able to browes all sub-folders. Currently limited to only one folder.

Picture Fade option

Posted by cloq on (2007-04-24)
A fade option for pictures would be great.. instead of scrolling to next picture.. fade/dissolve to the next one would be a nice feature.

More features

Posted by edenxavier on (2007-10-11)
I second the posters' suggestions on features. I work with a lot of digital art, and basically this is the only slideshow Klip available, methinks. I would like to see this Klip expanded, for example, there should be more options as far as randomization, speed of display, and the number of photos/art that can be displayed in one cycle. :)

mattiec and pollyparrott1966, which version of KlipFolio are you using? What steps are you taking to try to add your pictures to the Klip? Does the Klip display any error messages?

same problem

I can't add my local pictures to that
but months ago, I could,I don't know why

Can't modify refresh settings in dev mode...

Posted by jwhitwell on (2009-03-09)
Wanted to change default gCombo.selected = 1 to longer setting (not 5 minutes). Get 'bad script' error using anything but '1' it seems.

Also tried to change refreshRate values - bad script warning again.

I'm using this for a company to upload a set of charts that really only update once every night - was going to set it to an 8 hour refresh, but will have to settle for 4 I suppose. ;)

how to add pictures

Posted by ralf.jaeger on (2009-04-09)
Hi everybody!

I also have the problem that I do not find a way to define the folder where my pix are. I am using version 3.1.1, it just says 'Enter setup to specify location of of photos' - but in the klips configuration there is no way to specify the folder.
Any idea anybody?

thx in advance :)

no way to add folder

any help would be appreciated

Slideshow requires Klipfolio Dashboard 5+

Posted by Klipfolio on (2009-09-28)
Hi jwilkes42 & ralf.jaeger,

The Slideshow Klip takes advantage of new features in Klipfolio Dashboard 5, so try upgrading to the latest version of Klipfolio Dashboard to get the Klip working.

Once you have the latest version installed, click on the "Choose Directory" button to specify the photo directory.

EXTREME Memory usage

Posted by nikkool on (2009-10-05)
While offering a very nice functionality, this klip unfortunately sucks up an enormous amount of virtual memory. Ont eh surface, the memory usage appears to be not more than a few mb, maybe less. but the commit charge in task manager or resource monitor shows each instance asking over 100MB of commit charge which greatly increases the pagefile size and can cause incessant thrashing of the HDD when other programs are run. Normally several general klips take about 50-70MB total, but this alone takes up over 100MB and made my system quite sluggish.
Perhaps a memory leak, or bad coding? other picture showing klips are nowhere this bad.
