Help Setting my ODBC connection

Posted by matias.caamano on (2010-02-15)
Hi, I really need help with theese topic.

I need to build Query`s using my IBM I series ODBC Connection in the Windows XP ODBC administrator, I all ready use this connection to build Querys for a dashboard software called InfoCaptor.

I did read all the help and cookbooks that explains how to connect my DB but I didnt turn in to.

First I input all the parameters to setup the connection string, except the one that says Provider that i leave it with the SQLOLEDB character.

Actually im using SQL lenguaje to build this consults, XML o Java Script looks like use the same SQL Languaje when you must write de the query sentence.

Is there any other Prime filed to setup to really connect my Iseries ODBC DB with Klipfolio?

Best Regards.

Matias

Additional info about debugging an ODBC Klip

Posted by kfdev on (2010-02-16)
Hi Matias,

Is your Klip showing anything at all ("0 0" for example), or do you get any script errors in the debug window? Just in case, here's a link to the article on ODBC Klip debugging tips: http://developer.klipfolio.com/developer/cookbook_item/item-51

See if you can determine where the script fails by using Engines.ODBC.getLastError() in your klipscript. If you have any trouble with how to do this, please send us your Klip at support@klipfolio.com, and we can take a look at it for you.
